How a Garment Redesign Project Works
A redesign consultation helps define the best direction for your piece, whether you want a fit update, a fresh silhouette, or a more practical everyday form. We review the garment and any materials you bring, then discuss what can be achieved from the existing construction.
For dresses, skirts, shirts, jackets, and vintage pieces, the concept stage is important. It allows us to confirm the scope, explain any material limits, and prepare a clear quote before work begins. Additional materials, if needed, are quoted separately.
Thoughtful remodelling starts with a careful look at the original piece.
At Linea Atelier, every redesign begins with the garment itself, because fabric, seams, wear, and structure shape what is possible.
Many projects are chosen for sentimental, vintage, or sustainability reasons. We aim to reuse the strongest parts of the original garment and match thread or trims where available, while keeping the redesign realistic for the fabric and its condition.
Once the concept is approved, the remodelling work moves ahead with fitting and finish checks along the way. Final review happens before collection, and any extra work is done only after approval, so the agreed design stays in focus.
